Erlinda - From intern to team leader
Dear Erlinda,
I was allowed to be your mentor and I am very happy to write this blog post about you and your career at the Wilhelm Eder company.
In the early summer of 2017, Erlinda, who was 17 at the time, applied for a four-week student internship in the commercial sector at our company. “No question, we’ll do it,” Markus Eder decided after the young woman had introduced herself to us.
Erlinda already stood out during the internship. Mainly because of her friendly and courteous manner, but also due to her understanding of the company processes. After just a few days, Erlinda was already a huge help in the day-to-day work.
In late 2017, Erlinda applied for an apprenticeship as a businesswoman in wholesale and foreign trade.
Management and colleagues were delighted with her application. Personally, I decided to go back to school at the Ludwigshafen Chamber of Industry and Commerce to take the trainer aptitude test, so that the Eder company could also offer training in commercial professions as well as the profession of cooper.
Erlinda started her three-year apprenticeship as a businesswoman in wholesale and foreign trade on 01.08.2018. During her training, she worked in every department, including accounting, marketing, purchasing, sales and human resources. All her colleagues helped Erlinda gain the necessary knowledge. It was a pleasure for everyone, as Erlinda always showed genuine interest and she was able to quickly implement her new knowledge independently.
In the summer of 2021, after successfully completing her training, Erlinda specialized in the company’s field of logistics. She organizes national and international freight by truck and container shipments for import and export. In order processing, no one can fool her. She is the first point of contact for national and international customers and suppliers.
Erlinda has a great deal of expertise in the field of wooden barrels and the associated aging of wine, beer and distillates. So much commitment is rewarded by management and so Erlinda has been team leader in the back office since the end of November 2022.

Dear Erlinda, this is how your colleagues describe you:
friendly, smart, calm, strong nerves, clear, confident, reliable, efficient, fast, humorous, conscientious, tidy, helpful, quick. That all sounds great.
Personally, I really appreciate your view of the big picture, your ability to grasp things quickly and your positive charisma, which allows you to bring a good atmosphere to the whole team even in very stressful phases.

I asked Erlinda herself to write a few lines about herself and her career in the company:
“Hello, my name is Erlinda.
Many who hear or read my name wonder where my name or I come from. I was born and raised in a beautiful small town located in the German wine route, the Deutsche Weinstraße, but my parents are originally from Kosovo.
In my free time I love to travel. I love adventure and discovering new things.
In 2017, I was faced with the question of where I saw myself later. In order to graduate from the Technical School of Applied Sciences, I had to complete an internship.
This was exactly the internship I did at the Eder company. During this time, I was able to learn a lot from my colleagues and quickly put my acquired knowledge to the test by working independently.
After only a short time, I realized that the question I had asked myself before the internship had been answered.
I decided to apply for an apprenticeship at Eder because I liked the work at the company as well as the working atmosphere.
After successfully completing my training, I now have the privilege of serving customers from all over the world.
I am your contact person when it comes to export and import.”
Liebe Erlinda, hier spreche ich für das ganze Team: Es ist Glück, eine Kollegin wie dich zu haben. ?

Bis bald
